Fenerbahçe

I'm a Fenerbahçe fan in Japan.
Whats Fenerbahçe?
Fenerbahçe is one of the strongest and the most famous professional football teams in Turkey.

I have often been asked why I am a fan of Fenerbahçe in Turkey.
Thus the conversation with someone goes like this.
“Do you have any acquaintances in turkey?”
“No. “
“But why? “
“Because the trainer of Fenerbahçe is Zico and I'm a fan of Zico. “

Of course, Zico is well known not as a trainer but as a player because he was one of the most famous football players in the world.
(For instance, at youtube.com as bellows, you can watch his plays in his days as a player, including while he was playing in Japan at the age of nearly 40.)

Before he became the trainer of Fenerbahçe, he was coach of the Japan National team.
As a trainer, he got 2 excellent results for Japan.
First, he led the National team to the Asian Championship at the Asian Cup in 2005.
Secondly, he got through the qualifying stage held in the Asian region with 11 victories and only a single loss in 12 matches and led them to the 2006 FIFA World Cup・in Germany.
We have never seen such an amazing result in the history of football in Japan but some blamed him severely because the National team was defeated at the group league stage in Germany without getting a single victory.
After he left Japan and went to Turkey, almost all the mass media in Japan began to report on the new trainer and the National team as if there had been no Zico in Japan.

I think he did his best and got good results, so blaming him was a big mistake.
He was an excellent player, of course. But more than that, I respect him because I was impressed by his philosophy.- ” devotion to his work”, ” sincerity to others”, ” respect for others”
and he seems to have devoted himself to realize his philosophy in his life, I think and his way of life was a virtue that many Japanese once had and have now lost.

As I mentioned above, he went to Turkey as soon as he returned from Germany and he began to work as a trainer of Fenerbahçe without any rest, though he is over 50.
He has just started his new challenge to realize his philosophy in Turkey, at the time when none of the others in the National team worked.

Now Fenerbahçe are fighting in Turkey both in the “Super Lig”, which is the domestic league and the “Turkish Cup“, which is a knock-out tournament.
To my regret, Fenerbahçe was defeated by AZ Alkmaar (Netherlands) in the tournament match of the UEFA CUP, just by a single away goal.
But as for the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup, Fenerbahçe is doing well.
In the SuperLig, with eight games left, Fenerbahçe is at the top of the domestic league with six points ahead of Beşiktaş, which is the team in second position.
In the Turkish Cup, Fenerbahçe has proceeded to the semi-final stage in which they are going to fight home & away matches against Beşiktaş.

I want Fenerbahçe to defeat Beşiktaş and to be champions both in the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup and I do hope for Zico’s success as a trainer as well a player.
That’s why I became a Fenerbahçe fan.

My experience starting my blog

Before starting my blog, I thought it was easy to start and write articles, but no sooner had I tried to start than I found it difficult .
There were some reasons for it.
Firstly, I was not sure whether or not I had something valuable to write for someone to read. I had not had any experience to express myself to others, such as writing articles by setting up my own blog, even in Japanese.
Secondly, in addition to that, I had to do it in English.

When these thoughts came to me, I was stuck in these thoughts and I have been in that state since then.
One day, an imaginary friend of mine appeared from inside me and said,

"It is at first important for you to start a blog.
"As for the first reason you mentioned above, don't mention it. writing articles to set up one’s blog is not only done by professional writers such as journalists, novelists and so on.
At the beginning, it would be better for you to think you would write it for who you are 5 years from now.”
And he continued,
"As for the second reason, you have to write articles with vocabulary you can handle.
"To write articles easier , I will be your partner. I will ask and you will answer, then an article for your blog with limited vocabulary will be done, won't it?
" Let's try together. Can you tell me what you like or what it is interesting for you”
I answered, then he asked and … it continued for a few hours.

The result of the dialogue was the second article of my blog and the process of starting a blog came to be the first article of my blog.
That's how this first article has been done.
